In the meanwhile, the flagship wine of Cantine Due Palme captures the attention of one of the leading Italian fashion brand
We all agree that 2014 will be a very good year for Cantine Due Palme, as just shown by the most awaited wine lovers classification.
Gentleman, the periodical of Milano Finanza, drew up a ranking of the Top 100 Italian Wines of the year by taking into consideration the ratings of the 5 most important wine guides of 2014 (Gambero Rosso, L’Espresso, Veronelli, Luca Maroni, Bibenda – The Italian Sommeliers Association Guide -), compared to both Mr. Robert Parker’s influential critics and Wine Spectator’ editors and creating a special ranking for this top Italian red wines chart.
Cantine Due Palme Salice Salentino Rosso DOP Selvarossa Reserve 2010 is rightfully designated as one of the excellent Italian wines, scored in the 15th place.
Second Apulian wine after the multi-awarded wine “Es” produced by Gianfranco Fino, Selvarossa 2010 continues to receive award and recognition.
And it was thanks to Gentleman ranking that Selvarossa 2010 gained the attention of one of the leading Italian fashion brand, ready to launch the Apulian wine on the Milan fashion catwalk. A successful partnership between two big ambassadors of Made in Italy in the world!
“This year we are travelling at the speed of light – declares Angelo Maci, President of Cantine Due Palme – with many awards and several projects in progress. Our philosophy is to never stop and each of our success just acts as springboard to do better”.
And what about the idea to be associated to a big fashion brand? For Angelo Maci, it is just a new occasion for the internationalization of Apulian wine.
“Thanks to Cantine Due Palme’s extraordinary growth both the Apulia region and the wine system take advantages, explains Mr. Maci. Every awarded regional wine constitutes a considerable added value to our region – that works and produces against crisis – and to our unique pedoclimatic conditions. Our Negroamaro, in fact, is probably one of the few inimitable things, as we are the only ones who enjoy the special combination of sun, sea and a rich land giving to our products their typical taste and bouquet ”.
